The debate is not over, but the reward is big. Maybe not. How much of the secret of this sphere has been revealed! It is presumptuous to claim that man knows even a little of the mysteries of the universe. Even his harsh critics and detractors cannot admit that Vishwakabi was an idealist. But he must have realized that he had a clear sense of power emanating from some unseen source. That might have boosted his confidence, but it didn't fuel him to be pessimistic.
Vishwakabi had failed to visit the golden peak of Kanchenjunga a dozen times from various locations in Kalimpong, Shillong, Darjeeling and Gangtok amidst extreme cold, snow, wind and rain. He did not blame Adrastha for this failure. But there may have been a sense of helplessness of dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, it is not possible to see Kanchenjunga without favorable weather conditions. Daymani's first golden ray is hope. Clouds, thick fog, blizzards and rain hide this ray from human eyes.
Kanchenjunga is a few peaks of the Himalayas.Kanchen+Jungha seems to be a combination of Kanchenjunga but actually the name originates from Kang Cheng Zheng Ga. The first Everest conqueror Tenzing Norgay in his book “Man of Everest” which means the five treasures of snow. It is the highest mountain peak in India. The height is 8,586 meters. The Shikars of Kanchenjunga lie on the eastern border of the Indian state of Sikkim and Nepal. The mountain is bordered by the Lahnak Chu River and the Jungsong La Peak to the north, the Tamur to the west and the Teesta River to the east. It is located 125 km east-southeast of Mount Everest.
Tourists attempt to see Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill
Before 1842, Kanchjunga was considered the highest peak of the Himalayas. In 1849, a large three-dimensional survey of India found that Mount Everest, the peak of the Himalayas at 8,849 meters, was the highest in the Himalayas. In 1856, this calculation was given final recognition after testing again. Mount Everest is located on the border of Nepal and Tibet. Every year numerous tourists travel to Darjeeling hoping to see Kanchenjunga.
Tiger Hill is the highest peak in Darjeeling. To see the sunrise, you have to leave between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. One has to walk about eight kilometers in extreme cold to reach Tiger Hill. Because if you don't go before, you have to park the car under Shikar. It is difficult to walk. Even after climbing up to the peak, one has to wait for Kanchanjunga darshan in the light of the first rays of the sun after walking up and down the path for about 200 meters.
According to many, those who are skilled in mountain climbing or trekking can easily visit Kanchenjunga from Sandakphu. Sandakphu-Falut is located on the Nepal-India border. Its height is 3700 meters above sea level. Shortness of breath can occur due to lack of oxygen on mountain peaks. Here nature changes in moments. One has to climb up through the bamboo groves and rhododendron trees under the shade. It is known that jeep movement has started in some parts of Sandakphu recently. Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga and other peaks are clearly visible from Sandakphu.
We were not going to Darjeeling, but the two spots that we decided to visit were close to Darjeeling. Kanchenjunga can also be visited from Lolegaon and Gangtok in Sikkim. We also have an irresistible latent desire to enjoy that natural beauty. By the end of September the sky is usually cloudless. However, the adverse behavior of the weather system is being observed due to various harmful human-made activities. As a result, premature rains, hurricanes, sea tides, floods, melting of ice in high mountains and polar regions are occurring in nature. Doubt at that. There were also thoughts of canceling the trip.
AC two tier and AC three tier
We planned to travel in 1995. Early that year railway tickets, guest houses in Lolegaon and hotels in Gangtok were booked. There is a financial penalty if you cancel your visit, losing the opportunity to travel in this busy life is more painful than financial loss. My wife, two sons, daughter-in-law, son's classmate's parents and their two sons took the Kanchenjunga Express from Sealdah Railway Station and started the journey towards NJP (New Jalpaiguri). As usual my wife sat on the corner seat near the window of our room. Sarasi, the wife of fellow traveler Jadunath Babu, sat on the seat in the corner of their room and arranged the things. The train leaves at the specified time. 560 km Perobo in 8-10 hours. Moonlight in the clear sky outside. The view outside is dim through the thick glass. It is like to quench the bitterness of milk. The train is running at your pace. Our guides were my younger son Swagat and the elder son of fellow travelers Subrata. They are class friends. Jan's friend
My son's friend's father is a senior officer in Indian Railways. He is traveling in AC two tier railways free of cost with railway pass. Government or private organizations in India grant recreation leave once a year for two or four weeks with an allowance equal to one month's salary. Luxury travelers choose travel destinations in advance and book vehicles and hotels. Go out alone or with family at certain times. India's tourism industry is rich with the contribution of Bengalis. Bengali people of other professions are also very enthusiastic about traveling. A middle-aged Bengali who has not been to Vrindavan, Kashi, Haridwar and Benares is a sight to behold. If you travel to any part of India, you will see Bengali tourists. In Bangladesh recently, during the Eid holidays or other times, Bangladeshis have started to roam around a bit. This bodes well for the tourism industry. However, a lot of work remains to be done in this sector. Good planning and implementation is essential for tourism to become an industry. The economy of our neighbors Bhutan, Maldives, Sikkim state of India is mainly tourism-dependent.
Sandakphu Trekking
Our five-person ticket is in an air-conditioned three-tier. That is, three sleeping arrangements on each side of the hut. In the same cabin, two people sleep on the back of the road. A total of eight people sleep in one cabin. AC windows are tightly closed with glass. After the glass there is Sutter. Light can be blocked with shutters. Railway authorities provide one pillow, one blanket, two bed sheets and face towel for each passenger. The toilets are clean. Wash basin and mirror are of good quality. It is assumed that ministers, families of ministers, high-ranking bureaucrats, high class people of society usually travel in AC compartment. The ticket price is also high for this. The railway police kept a watchful eye. Accidents happen in between. Bags, mobiles, laptops are stolen. For this reason, a chain like a bicycle chain is bought and locked in the luggage of everyone in the family. In this case, bags are cut and things are stolen sometimes. I heard that foreign tourists take special precautions when traveling by rail.
Son's friend's father's surname is also Chakraborty. I felt embarrassed when son Swagat's friend Subrata came and requested me and my wife to travel in a two-tier. In two-tier mind, there will be six people instead of eight people in one khope. Subrata and his brother can hang out with Swagat Samrat in three tiers. can smoke I couldn't agree more. It cannot be legal under railway rules. may be a problem. At last the gentleman and his wife came and took us by force. Jadunath Babu is a middle rank railway officer. His assurance, he will 'manage'. Must get up. (continued)
