LPG price increased by Tk 11 per 12 kg

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at consumer level by Tk 11 per 12 kg.

The new rate will be effective from 6 pm on Sunday.

Earlier, LPG prices fell for three consecutive months. But last month, 12 kg cylinder was increased by Rs.3.

According to the press release sent by BERC, the price of every 12 kg cylinder for August has been fixed at Tk 1,377. Last July the price was 1 thousand 366 taka.

BERC fixes LPG prices every month. As per BERC's new rates, the private LPG price inclusive of value added tax (including VAT/MUSC) has been fixed at Tk 114 79 paise per kg, as against Tk 113 86 paise last month. As such, the prices of different sizes of LPG cylinders will be determined.
