Memorandum demanding the ban of teacher-student politics in DU

The ordinary students have submitted a memorandum to the vice-chancellor of Dhaka University (DU) campus demanding ban on all kinds of politics by teachers, students and officials. On Thursday (August 29) afternoon, the students presented the memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor's office.

At this time, the students also presented a two-point demand aimed at banning all kinds of party politics in the campus. They are-

1. All kinds of party politics of students, teachers, officials and employees should be banned in Dhaka University campus.

2. Dhaka University Central Student Council Election (DACSU) should be held immediately.

In the memorandum, the students said that the common students are desperate to get rid of the system that various student organizations, especially the Chhatra League, had put in place in Dhaka University in the last 15 years.

Even in the urge of party students-teachers, officials-employees to mature their politics, they allowed outsiders to enter the campus and tortured ordinary students. Halls are known as guest rooms, public rooms where physical and mental farce is played on ordinary students just to achieve their fascist interests.

The students are against student politics and in favor of DAKSU and said that ordinary students are standing against this kind of dirty party politics in Dhaka University campus. We are not advocating depoliticization of campuses; Rather, it is in favor of choosing the guardians of ordinary students in a democratic manner. Daksu elections demand the lives of ordinary students. Meanwhile, party student politics has been banned from various halls during the agitation.

Demanding that all politics be banned on the campus, they said that one of the main demands of the 9-point demand for the liberation of the students against the fascist government was to ban all kinds of party politics on university campuses. Therefore, we want ban on politics of students, teachers, officials, employees in the university campus.
