Metro rail running time is being extended in the capital. Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has taken the initiative to keep the metro rail running even after 9 pm from Wednesday (March 27). DMTCL Managing Director (MD) M A N Siddique will give detailed information in the press briefing on Tuesday (March 26).
According to DMTCL sources, from March 27, the last train from Motijheel will depart at 9:40 a.m. and the last train from Uttara will leave at 9:20 a.m. Trains will run every 12 minutes during extra hours. This will increase the number of trains running by 10. Now trains run 184 times a day. Then it will run 194 times.
Now Metrorail runs from 7 am to 8.40 pm. Metrorail runs every 8 minutes during peak hours (7am to 11:30am and 2am to 8pm). Metrorail is running every 12 minutes during off peak hours from 11 am to 2:30 pm.
