Mithu Mridha became the chairman by getting more than 1 thousand 264 votes in Amtali

Zahidul Islam Mithu Mridha, President of Upazila Swachhasebok League, has won the election of Sadar Union Parishad of Amtali Upazila of Barguna.

7 thousand 133 votes were received with the motorcycle symbol. His closest rival, Ghora Prateik candidate Motahar Uddin Mridha got 5 thousand 869 votes. Abul Bashar Nayan Mridha is in the third position with 4 thousand 462 votes. He won the post of chairman by getting 1 thousand 264 votes more than the rival candidates. Amtali Upazila Executive Officer Muhammad Ashraful Alam officially announced the election results in the meeting room of Amtali Upazila Parishad. Amtali Upazila Election and Returning Officer Salim Reza confirmed this information after counting the votes at 10:00 PM on Sunday.

He said, on Sunday, the Sadar Union Parishad election of Amtali Upazila ended with voting in a peaceful environment from 8 am to 4 pm. 9 people contested for the post of chairman in the election. After the counting of votes, the candidate of the motorcycle symbol, Zahidul Islam Mithu, has been declared the winner in the private results.

Amtali Upazila Executive Officer Muhammad Ashraful Alam thanked all the law enforcement agencies and journalists for their free and healthy cooperation in the Sadar Union Parishad elections.
