He has given up a total of 12 home runs in his last 10 outings, which is horrible, and 10 of those 12 have come to righties. Santander, meanwhile, has been among the best home run hitters on the entire season with the third-most home runs in the league (38), and he also boasts the fifth-best ISO rate in MLB.

The beauty of Santander is that he is a switch-hitter who is essentially equally as good whether he is batting righty or lefty. His ISO rate against LHP is .279, and it is .278 against RHP. So, even if Santander does not hit one off Gomber, he still has the ability to go yard off the bullpen thanks to how well he hits regardless of the handedness of the opposing pitcher.

While Santander has cooled off slightly in the home run department, with no home runs in his last five games, he did have three separate HardHits on Thursday, one of which was an absurd 110 mph off the bat, and another that was a flyout that traveled 360 feet at 97.2 mph off the bat.

Oneil Cruz Home Run (+350) FanDuel

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cleveland Guardians, 7:10 p.m. ET

This play is betting on a batter who has been absolutely assaulting baseballs recently. The reason he has not been hitting a ton of home runs is he struggles with the launch angle, not being able to lift the ball enough to get it to go out of the yard. Instead, he crushes doubles or singles.

But if there was ever a matchup for Cruz to get the necessary launch angle for a home run, it would be off of someone like Ben Lively, who loves throwing fastballs to lefties that lefties can put into the air.

Lively allows the 18th-highest fly-ball rate in MLB of all pitchers who have thrown at least 120 innings. That number is even higher against left-handed hitters, going from 41.8% against RHH to 44.8% against LHH. That 44.8% would be the 13th-highest in MLB.

From there, Lively also allows the seventh-fastest average exit velocity against at 90.4 mph, which is a bad combination. Lively mostly throws 4-seam fastballs, and Cruz, as mentioned earlier, has been assaulting 4-seamers over the past month.

He has been hitting 4-seamers 104.8 mph off the bat as an average in this stretch, with an 86% HardHit rate and 10 separate hits above 100 mph against 4-seam fastballs from RHP over the past month. He goes yard today.

Juan Soto Home Run (+400) BetMGM

St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Yankees, 7:05 p.m. ET

For this matchup, Soto is going up against Erick Fedde of the Cardinals, who is not a horrible pitcher but definitely not somebody to be scared of, especially given how he fares against lefties.

Fedde has given up 19 home runs on the year, 12 of which have come to lefties, with a HR/9 of 0.84 against RHH and 1.46 against LHH. He has made five starts as a member of the Cardinals, and has gotten hit up a little bit in those starts, with a HR/9 of 1.63 overall. He has allowed five home runs, including three to lefties.

Soto, meanwhile, is having a phenomenal year overall and might be the AL MVP if not for his teammate Aaron Judge. Soto is tied with Marcell Ozuna with the fourth-most home runs hit on the year with 37, with the third-best ISO rate and second-best barrel rate as well.

As for the pitch-mix, Fedde predominantly throws cutters to lefties (over 50% of the time), and Soto annihilates cutters. On the season, Soto has a barrel rate of 19%, HardHit rate of 64.71% and .432 ISO rate off of cutters from RHP.
