Mobile court raid against sand traders, 23 trucks seized

23 trucks and 8 excavators were seized from the sand traders during the illegal extraction of sand from Padma river in Faridpur. However, on sensing the presence of the mobile court, those involved in sand cutting left the excavator and truck and ran away.
On Thursday (April 18) evening, Negarat Deputy Collector (NDC) of the District Commissioner's office ASM Shahadat Hossain confirmed this information. Before this, the Faridpur district administration conducted this operation of the mobile court on Wednesday (April 17) midnight.
Sand was being extracted illegally with these excavators in the darkness of night in Raksha Bandh area of Padma river at Dhala junction near Faridpur city. The Executive Magistrate of Faridpur District Commissioner's Office received the news. Under the leadership of Mujibul Islam, raids were conducted here and there. At that time other officials were also present along with the policemen.
Mojibul Islam, the judge of the mobile court and the executive magistrate of the district administration, said that the seized drum trucks and excavators have been kept under police guard. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
He also said that it was not possible to arrest anyone immediately as the criminals fled as soon as they realized the presence of the administration.
