On February 26, 2019, Pakistan completely closed its airspace to the country's aircraft after Indian fighter jets violated Pakistan's international borders and airspace.
But this time there is an exception. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to Delhi using Pakistani airspace. In a report on Sunday (August 25), the Pakistani media Dawn News reported this information.
According to the report, Narendra Modi used Pakistani airspace on his way back from Poland to Delhi. The plane carrying Modi entered Pakistani airspace at 10:15 am local time. The plane left Pakistan at 11:01 a.m. after a 46-minute stay.
The Indian Prime Minister's plane entered Pakistan's airspace via Chitral and entered Amritsar in India via the air traffic control areas of Islamabad and Lahore.
However, the Indian Prime Minister used Pakistan's airspace but did not send the 'good will' message as per the rules. This influential Pakistani media claimed that Modi could have given a 'good will' message as a courtesy, even if there was no obligation to convey 'good will' messages.
Note that Pakistan partially opened its airspace in March 2019. But it remains banned for Indian flights.
