A platform plays a wide role in developing creativity as well as acquiring knowledge for university students. Similarly, the role of university is immense in forming open mindedness and healthy brain. In this case, cultural practice is one of the most important things. However, even after 25 years of its establishment, no proper platform has been established for conducting cultural activities in the Public University of Savar (Gabi).

With the passage of time, the number of students of the institution increased, but due to the lack of an open stage or an auditorium, the space for cultural activities did not increase. As a result, the university is lagging behind in art, literature and culture.

Established in the spirit of the Liberation War and renowned as an exceptional university, this private institution has dozens of active educational and voluntary organizations including Debating Society, ist Association, Photographic Society, Music Club, Career Development Club, Agnisetu, Student Forum, Bani Archana, Pathak Bandhu, Shuvasangha. . Throughout the year, these organizations have to deal with various events including seminars, concerts.

Lavanya Tarafdar, general secretary of Agnisetu, the university's cultural organization, highlighted the need for a free stage. But now it happens 2-1 times a year. However, not everyone has the opportunity to participate. A free stage is much needed on campus. There is no alternative to highlight the demands of the students, create an atmosphere of free cultural practice with dance, song, drama, rehearsals. For this, the organizations involved in cultural practices should also be active.

It is known that room 417 of the academic building has become a constant companion in any event of Gabi's grand event. Which is named 'Academic Auditorium'. This room is the only property for any kind of event. When the ceremony starts, the arrangements are made, and at the end they are opened and the class-examination takes place. Again, there is not enough space in the room compared to the number of students. As a result, many students cannot participate in the program and enjoy it properly even if they want to.

Afra Rumali Supti, a student of the law department, expressing her anger at the plight of Auditoyim, said that the culture of a country is the mirror to see everything, the traditions of a country. Those of us who are practicing culture regularly are not getting proper opportunities in the campus. If there is an event, it is nominally a cultural episode. There is no separate auditorium. As a result, our healthy cultural practices are constantly being hindered. All the cultural programs that are held in a single-room-centric manner, leave the interested parties disappointed. An auditorium has become necessary at this moment. It will advance cultural and intellectual practices in the university.

If you want to know about this, the University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abul Hossain said that sports and cultural activities should be done along with education. This university already has a good reputation for sports. We have responsible for proper cultural practice of students. If any organization organizes they get full support from the administration. But there is no other place for cultural practice except room number 417. If you play music there, it disturbs the class of other students.

He said, this university is an ideal place for cultural practice. But most of the events in Mukta Mancha take place at night. As there is no hall for students, the number of students to organize cultural programs at night is also less. An auditorium will be arranged for students to practice culture. This auditorium will be arranged after the completion of the central library.
