Murder case against journalist Naemul Islam Khan and Subhash Singh

Another case has been registered in the case of Sajjad Hossain being shot dead in Rangpur during the anti-discrimination student movement across the country. Apart from former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana, journalists, former Prime Minister's press secretary Naeemul Islam Khan and Subhash Singh Roy have been made accused in the case.

Jitu Begum, the wife of the deceased Sajjad Hossain, filed the case in the Metropolitan Magistrate Amli Court Kotwali on Tuesday (August 20) afternoon. Accepting the case, the court directed the Kotwali police station to record it. A total of five murder cases were registered in Rangpur.

Advocate Mofazzal Hossain Bakul, the plaintiff's lawyer, said that on July 19, the police and Awami League leaders and activists brutally killed Mason Sajjad by shooting indiscriminately. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana, then Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Law Minister Anisul Haque and other leaders of Awami League and its like-minded parties have been accused in this incident. Jasdar president Hasanul Haque Inu and Workas Party president Rashed Khan Menon are also in that list.

Former Prime Minister's Press Secretary Naemul Islam Khan, former Information Minister A Arafat, Awami League leader Apu Ukil, Duke of former MP Ahsanul Haque Chowdhury, Zakir Hossain Sarkar, Asaduzzaman Bablu, Tutul Chowdhury and 57 others are also on the accused list. Apart from this, 300 unknown people have also been accused.
