MV Abdullah has been surrounded, the owners are seeking a solution through negotiations, not raids

Somali pirates aboard the hijacked MV Abdullah from the Indian Ocean have been surrounded. The Puntland Police in that country have closed all avenues of support from the ground. On the other hand, EU warships are located very close to MV Abdullah. From where attack helicopters are circling MV Abdullah. As a result, the pirates on board have now become hostages in the MV Abdullah.

As a result, the Puntland Police of that country said that the pirates have no choice but to surrender. However, the pirates have installed heavy weapons like anti-aircraft guns on the hostage ships to protect themselves.

Mohamed Ali Ahmed Mardouf, the commander of the Nugal Police Department in Somalia's autonomous region of Puntland, told BBC Somalia. He said, MV Abdullah is now in the coastal area of Jifal in that country.

He said, “We have launched an operation in the eastern region to cut off the communication of the pirates.” So that they don't get any support from the land of this area. We are now on shore. In addition, they are under the jurisdiction of international forces in the maritime sector. So they are separated from that aspect as well. They said they were ready to take part in any operation to save the ship and crew.

Police Commander Mardouf also told BBC Somalia that the pirates on board now have two options. Either would surrender to the Puntland authorities and suffer punishment for their actions. Or suffer the same fate as the pirates captured by the foreign forces from the MV Rouen.

Meanwhile, regular talks between the owner and the pirates are ongoing for the safe return of the sailors of the Abdullah ship, including 23 sailors, to the coast of Somalia. On Wednesday (March 20), Somali pirates continued to communicate with the owners. Although the pirates behaved moderately with the owner, the owner said that the negotiations are still at an early stage. The owner said that he did not know anything about the position or patrol of the U's ship.

Talks on the release of the sailors started after the bandits contacted the ship's owner last Wednesday (March 20). Now the owners want to bring the sailors back after completing the negotiation quickly.

Mizanul Islam, media advisor of Kabir Group, the owner of the ship, said that they are working to bring the sailors back safely. Ownership has been in regular talks since Wednesday, the day of first contact with the Pirates. He said that the owner knows nothing about the position or patrolling of U's ship.

He said that instead of going to any military-civilian operation, based on past experience, they want to rescue the ship with 23 hostages intact. Now that the pirates are in regular contact, they are considering it positive.

Experienced sailors said that now that communication has started, pirates can demand ransom. If a negotiated settlement is reached, the ship and the sailors can be released. In such an incident, it may take some time to complete all the procedures and rescue the ship including the sailors. Bandits took this time to pressurize the owner. Earlier it took 100 days to rescue Jahan Moni ship of the same owner.
