New superintendent of police in 26 districts

The government has appointed new Superintendent of Police (SP) in 26 districts of the country. They were appointed through a notification issued by the Home Ministry's Public Security Department on Tuesday.

The transfer was made in a notification issued on Tuesday (September 3) by the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. By order of the President, Deputy Secretary Md. signed the notification. Mahabur Rahman Sheikh.

According to the notification, Brahmanbaria, Kurigram, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Sunamganj, Feni, Bogra, Chapainawabganj, Moulvibazar, Faridpur, Joypurhat, Bhola, Khagrachari, Barguna, Cox's Bazar, Rajbari, Pirojpur, Satkhira, Khulna, Kushtia, Nawail, Sherpur, Madaripur, Chuadanga, Jhalkathi and Lalmonirhat districts have been assigned as new Superintendents of Police. This order issued in public interest will be effective immediately.

Earlier on August 27, police superintendents were given in 24 districts including Dhaka, Chittagong, Rangpur, Comilla, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Narayanganj, Jhenaidah, Magura, Tangail and Narsingdi.
