No one can be prime minister for more than two terms: Tariq Rahman

No one wants BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman to be Prime Minister for more than two consecutive terms. He said, it must be ensured that no one can become a dictator by axing power in Bangladesh. That is why BNP wants to have a system in the constitution where no one can be prime minister more than two times in a row.

He made this comment in an exchange meeting for leaders and activists of Comilla and Faridpur on Sunday. Tariq Rahman is holding a series of exchange meetings at the Trinmool level nationwide to prepare for the upcoming National Assembly elections.

He said, with the fall of dictatorship on August 5, new optimism has been added to the expectations of the people of Bangladesh. And the language has changed. This changing new language needs to be read and understood and the optimism turned into reality. If you can't do that, you have to fall.

Highlighting the 31-point program announced by BNP to reform the state structure, the Acting Chairman of BNP said that BNP wants to create the grave of autocracy in this country in the future. Legislation seeks to maintain a balance of power between the judiciary and the executive. It wants to introduce a bicameral parliament system to ensure representation and participation of the intellectuals of the society in the governance of the state. Wants to introduce merit-based allowance for youth and unemployed until they find employment. Wants to ensure women's participation at all levels. Health Education Agriculture Finance Policy seeks to bring radical changes in all sectors. Wants to build a modern Bangladesh with equal rights regardless of religion-caste-tribe-group plain or hilly. He directed all the leaders and workers of the party to take this message to the people.
