Noakhali's top terrorist Khalasi Suman arrested

RAB-11 has arrested top terrorist Amjad Hossain Sumon alias Khalasi Sumon from Begumganj of Noakhali. RAB-11, CPC-3, Noakhali Company Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police confirmed the matter in a press release on Friday (September 6) evening. Golam Morshed.

Earlier on Thursday night, he was arrested in Chaumuhani Purba Bazaar area of ​​the upazila. The arrested Amjad Hossain Sumon alias Khalasi Sumon (35) is the son of deceased Lutphal Haque Latu Mia of Paur Hajipur area of ​​Choumuhani Municipality of Upazila. There are 13 cases against him in Sonaimuri police station including arson case, murder case, extortion case. Apart from this, he is a fugitive convicted in multiple cases.

According to the press release, there are a total of 13 cases against the arrested accused, including weapons, extortion, robbery, theft, drug and murder cases in different police stations of Noakhali. The accused is a wanted fugitive with 17 years rigorous imprisonment in an arms case.

The press release also said that on the evening of August 5, local agitated mob attacked various police stations of Noakhali, vandalized them with fire connection, looted and killed. At one stage of the looting, miscreants looted various government properties including a large quantity of arms and ammunition from the police station. A murder case was registered against Khalasi Sumon at Sonaimuri police station on August 20. He is an armed top terrorist by profession. He and the members of his force are involved in various crimes including robbery, extortion, kidnapping, murder, riots in Begumganj of Noakhali and surrounding areas. The people of the area are always terrified of their terrorist activities. Under the changed circumstances, he is accused of establishing a reign of terror through terrorist activities in various police station areas of Noakhali district, especially in Begumganj's Chaumuhni.

RAB-11, CPC-3, Noakhali Company Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Golam Morshed also said that the people of the area did not dare to protest against such activities. If anyone protested, his forces would beat him and torture him. The accused will be handed over to Sonaimuri police station of Noakhali district for taking legal action against him.
