Police have rescued a man who was buried alive in the Western European country of Moldova. This 62-year-old man had a conflict with a teenager while drinking. Then he got angry and beat the old man to the ground. He was rescued after being trapped there for four consecutive days. He started screaming loudly before being rescued. And after hearing the screams, the policemen were able to rescue him.
A 74-year-old woman was killed from where the police rescued the old man. The police went there to investigate the murder. Then they heard the old man screaming.
Police released a video of the rescue of the old man. It shows that the policemen are digging the soil with spades. At that time they found a temporary basement. The teenager trapped the old man inside and buried him on the ground. After removing the soil, the old man was pulled out from inside.
According to the local media of Moldova, this incident happened last Monday (May 13). The old man who was buried alive had knowledge at the time he was rescued. But there was a scar on his neck.
Police later arrested an 18-year-old from Ustia, in northeastern Moldova. He was then interrogated and his house was searched.
The old man said that he was drinking with the accused teenager. Then there is trouble between them. The teenager then stabbed her with a knife and pinned her down in the basement.
Police believe that the teenager killed the 74-year-old woman.
