Old woman dies due to electrocution in Longdu

An old woman named Sonali Talukder (56) died due to electric shock in Longadu upazila of Rangamati. The incident happened on Monday (August 26) morning at Atarkachara village No. 3 left of Atarkachara union of the upazila.

The police and locals said that on Monday morning, he accidentally touched the wire of the refrigerator at his house and was electrocuted. Later, other family members came and switched off the electricity in the house. When the old woman was taken to the Ibn Hospital and Diagnostic Center of the upazila, the working doctor declared her dead. Wife of Yuved Kanti Chakma of Sonali Talukdar Bame Atarkachra village.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Longdu Police Station said. Harunur Rashid confirmed the truth of the incident.
