Heavy rain is expected in North Bengal and Sylhet
On the holy day of Eid-ul-Azha, rain may fall all over the country, including the capital, during the intense summer heat. It can go on all day. Similar conditions may prevail on the day after Eid i.e. similar weather conditions may prevail from Sunday till next Tuesday. Then the rain may increase further, said the Meteorological Department. However, it is not likely to reduce the severe pain of Vapsa heat.
According to the observations of the Meteorological Department, a mild to moderate heatwave has swept over Khulna division and Gopalganj district on Saturday, which may continue on Sunday. On that day, although it rained in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Rangpur from morning, a mild heat wave may flow in the surrounding districts including Khulna.
According to the observations of the Meteorological Department, the sky of the capital may remain cloudy from the morning of Eid. Rain with thunder may start at some places from noon. Rain may increase in the afternoon. Rain may increase after evening. Heavy rain is expected in North Bengal and Sylhet. This may worsen the flood situation in Khana.
According to the Meteorological Department, air humidity has increased abnormally in most parts of the country including the capital. Most of the time the humidity in the air is 85 to 95 percent. As a result, the air temperature is 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, but the feeling of heat is 38 to 42 degrees Celsius. For the next three-four days, i.e. starting from the day of Eid and the two days after that, there may be similar vapsa hot feeling. However, rain with thunder may increase in the next few days.
Azizur Rahman, director of the Meteorological Department, said that the monsoon has become quite strong. The humidity in the air has greatly increased. As a result, both the chance of rain and heat stress can increase. The highest temperature in the country was 38.2 degrees Celsius in Khulna on Saturday. And the highest rainfall was 78 mm in Kurigram. The maximum temperature in the capital rose to 32.5 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, as a warning in the weather forecast, gusty winds of 40 to 50 km per hour may blow in Rangpur, Bogra, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Tangail. Along with that, there is a risk of heavy rain and lightning. As a result, the seaports of these areas have been asked to show the number one warning signal. That is, boats have been asked to move carefully.
