From morning to night on Saturday (April 13), the event, organized by Desi Saj and Tarang Care Inc., organized by Bengali Club USA, featured a fair of clothing and folk art, folk music, dance, punthi readings and recitals. There was free panta hilsa. Local artistes including Papi Mana and Lumin performed music on the occasion. Channel I was the media partner.
National award-winning Papi Mana graced Jackson Heights this year with songs written and composed by her after performing at Phobana in New York in 2019. In 2014, the wrong song was a big hit among the audience.
