One killed in the attack on Noral Pagla's court at Rajbari

The body of a man named Nurul Haque alias Noral Pagla was taken from the grave in Goaland upazila of Rajbari and burned in the Padma area of the Dhaka-Khulna highway. At least half a hundred were injured in the clash between the two parties and one journalist. Two cars and police cars of the Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) were vandalized at the scene.
The deceased was identified as Russell Mollah, 25. He died after being taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital after being injured in the clash.
Goaland Upazila Health Complex Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Sharif Islam and Ward Master Atiar Rahman confirmed the media at Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
Referring to the incident as 'inhuman and disgusting', the interim government said in a statement that those involved in this heinous crime will be identified and the maximum enforcement of the law will be brought under trial.
Goaland's UNO Md. Nahidur Rahman said, “Nurul Haque's shrine was attacked under the banner of the Iman-Akida Protection Committee at noon. Then the body was taken from the grave and burned the Padma area of the Dhaka-Khulna highway and burned the agitated crowd.
Earlier, after the Zuma prayers on Friday, the agitated crowd attacked the house of Nurul Haque after the protest march at the Goaland Ansar Club ground. During this time, they vandalized UNO and police cars.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Rajbari Sharif Al Rajiv said that after the rally, the protesters broke into the gate of Nurul Haque's house in Ghonapara area of ward no. 4 of Goaland municipality and attacked, vandalized and set fire.
