One person died in dengue, 364 in hospital

In the last 24 hours, one more person has died due to dengue and 364 people have been hospitalized due to dengue across the country.

This information was informed in a notification about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Tuesday (August 27).

According to the notification, 32 people in Barisal Division (outside City Corporation), 82 people in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), 13 people in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 61 people in Dhaka North City Corporation, 125 people in Dhaka South City Corporation, There are 30 people in Khulna division (outside city corporation), 16 people in Mymensingh division (outside city corporation) and four people in Rajshahi division (outside city corporation).

In 24 hours, a total of 315 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country, a total of 10,528 patients were discharged this year.

A total of 11,747 dengue cases have been reported till August 27 this year. Among them, 61.4 percent are males and 38.6 percent are females.

One more person died due to dengue in the last 24 hours, total 79 people have died due to dengue so far this year.

From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died due to dengue, and 3,21,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue.
