Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Adviser Nahid Islam has instructed to make generator diesel free (free) to keep the mobile network tower of Feni district operational.
This information was informed in a press release signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Jasim Uddin on Saturday.
It is said that the adviser said that there is no electricity, so a lot of diesel is needed to keep the 78 mobile network towers of Feni district running. Currently, it is very important to keep mobile network towers operational during flood situations. Therefore, the advisor directed BTRC to provide free diesel required for generators installed by mobile operators in the district to keep 78 mobile network towers operational.
It is reported that the portable generator (PG) (75 KV) consumes 2.3 liters of diesel per hour and the generator (DG) (30 KV) consumes 4.4 liters of diesel per hour. As such, 6552 liters of diesel is used daily in 78 generators, the price of which is 7 lakh 14 thousand 168 taka. 45 thousand 864 liters will be needed in seven days, the price of which is 49 lakh 99 thousand 176 taka.
This amount is being paid from the funds of BTRC under the guidance of the Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Adviser.
