Osman Hadi murder: Sanjay and Faisal admit 'responsibility'

Inkilab Manch's spokesperson Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi murder case accused Sanjay Chisim and Md. Faisal admitted responsibility and gave a statement in court.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jamshed Alam's court recorded their statement on Thursday.

On this day they were produced in court. After that, the investigating officer of the case DB Police Inspector Faisal Ahmed requested to record their statement. In view of the application, the court sent them to jail after recording their statement.

On December 14, the member secretary of Inqilab Manch, Abdullah Al Jaber, filed the case of attempted murder as the plaintiff. Later, section 302 was added to the case. After this case, 10 people have been arrested. The accused are – Faisal's father Md. Humayun Kabir and Mother Moosa. Hasi Begum, Faisal's wife Saheda Parveen Samia, his girlfriend Maria Akhtar Lima and his brother-in-law Wahid Ahmed Sipu, rent-car businessman. Nuruzzaman Nomani alias Ujjwal, Faisal's associate. Kabir, Sibiun Diu and Sanjay Chisim who helped escape to India and Aminul Islam Raju who helped in hiding. Among them, Humayun, Hasi, Samia, Lima, Sipu and Raju have confessed their responsibility. After the remand, Nuruzzaman was sent to prison. However, the court has banned the main accused Faisal from leaving the country.

On December 12, Hadi concluded the election campaign by offering Friday prayers in Motijheel. After that, on the way to Suhrawardy Udyan, around 2:20 p.m. that day, when the auto-rickshaw platoon model carrying Hadi reached the box culvert area under the police station, the miscreants on the motorcycle shot him and ran away. Later he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. Evercare was sent there after the operation. Later, he was sent to Singapore on December 15 for better treatment.

He died on December 18 while undergoing treatment there. Later, the case was converted into a murder case.
