Pabna Universal Group seeks government's help to get justice

Pabna Universal Group, famous for Tasty Saline, is under threat This institution is closed due to the bribery and corruption of some VAT officials during the previous government.

The livelihood of thousands of people working in this group has become uncertain. This is what the managing director of the group Mrs. Sohani Hossain has claimed. He claimed this in a press conference at the Rotary Club of Rupaktha Auditorium on Saturday (August 24) at noon.

He said in a written statement. Despite being the best taxpayer at the district level in the financial year 2017-18, a false case of VAT evasion of Tk 270 crore was filed against Zahidul Islam, the then Pabna District Commissioner of VAT, for not bribing him. At that time, he did not get any help despite contacting various departments including the head of NBR. Due to lawsuits and harassment, Universal Food Limited has been closed for 4 years today.

He claimed that he could not even open his mouth to the media due to administrative harassment. Sohani Hossain sought the help of the new government by praying for justice to restart the institution in this changed time.
