Jessore University of Science and Technology (Yabiprabi) temporarily received the financial and administrative responsibility of the University's Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dean Prof. Dr. H. Professor Dr. H. M. Zakir Hossain is currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PME) in addition to being the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of the University. He completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Department of Geology and Mining, Rajshahi University, and completed his Master's and PhD degrees from Seamane University, Japan. He later completed his post-doc at the Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute, University of Tokyo, Japan. He joined Yabi Prabi's PME Department as an Assistant Professor in 2010. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2017 and Professor in the same department in May 2021. He has published more than 55 research articles in various research periodicals of the world. Besides, he participated in more than 50 national and international level research conferences.
