Rabi's wall is like a graffiti gallery

In the wake of the recent student movement against discrimination, along with the change in government, the face of the wall at Rajshahi University (Rabi) is also changing. Graffiti with messages of protest, patriotism, equality and harmony are being painted on various walls of the campus including the main gate of the university, Shahid Taj Uddin Ahmed Senate building.

The graffiti included 'Free all students', 'We are together bulletproof', 'Bloody Bangladesh', 'Who is the iron cupboard?', 'No one's house should burn in my independent country', 'Who is the alternative? Various slogans including you, me, us are being used.

A huge graffiti painted on the front wall of Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Administration Building reads, 'Who will judge you?' 'Active Raksu' is written in graffiti on the front wall of Raksu Bhavan of the university. Dr. 'Remove Dictatorship' is written in front of MA Wazed Mia Academic Building.

Not only Rabi, various buildings of Rajshahi city have been painted with graffiti on the walls. A graffiti on the wall of Ruet at the end of the Rabi area depicts several events related to the quota reform movement, including 'July 36'.

Rajshahi University's non-cooperation movement graffiti has also been painted on the wall of Ganapurta Bhavan on the south side of Rajshahi's CNB intersection.

Nafisa Tabassum, a student of the English department of the academic year 2020-2021, said that after removing the dictatorial Hasina government, every person in the country got a new Bangladesh. Most of the intellectuals and teachers of my country, including the university, were slaves of this government. We are very happy with their resignation. That is why I am painting graffiti on various buildings including the administrative building of the university.

Saikat Khan, a student of the economics department of the academic year 2021-22, said that everyone, including the vice-chancellor of our university, was a servant of the Hasina government. They deployed police on the campus and tortured the common students. I am showing my picture. I draw graffiti with joy in their resignation.
