Rain may continue for 3 more days

It has been raining non-stop across the country since morning. The Meteorological Department has said that such rainfall may continue for the next three days.

On Wednesday (August 21), the Directorate of Meteorology announced this information in the forecast for the next 72 hours.

According to the agency, until 9 am on Thursday (August 22), there may be light to moderate rain or thunder with gusty winds in most places of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and many places of Rangpur division. Also, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

Rainfall and temperature are likely to remain similar to the previous day till 9 am on Friday (August 23).

On Saturday (August 24) light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds may occur in most places of Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and many places of Khulna, Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions till 9 am on Saturday (August 24). Also, there may be moderate to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.

As the extended five-day weather forecast states, rainfall trends may decrease towards the end of this period.
