Registration of Class VIII students starts on September 10

The registration process of students studying in class VIII will start online on September 10. Which will continue till October 9.

The prescribed fee for the registration of class VIII students of 2024 is Rs. 74. Out of this, the main registration fee is 50 taka and the red crescent fee is 24 taka.

The Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education has already issued a notification for the registration of class VIII students informing the heads of institutions about these issues.

In the notification, the board said that the minimum age of the candidates should be more than 11 years on January 1 of the JSC examination year and the maximum age should be 17 years by December 31. However, for students with special needs or disabilities, this age limit is maximum 22 years.

Students of educational institutions that have received teaching permission and recognition from the Dhaka Education Board will get the opportunity to register in the name of their educational institution. If the students fail to register within the stipulated time, the head of the institution will bear the responsibility.

Students from institutions not authorized by the Board can be registered through neighboring or nearby approved lower secondary or secondary schools or schools and colleges. However, under no circumstances will students of educational institutions without teaching permission get the opportunity to register through their schools.
