Removal of mayors of all Bogra municipalities

Mayors of all municipalities in Bogra have been removed The government announced this information in a notification on Monday (August 19).

According to the order of the President, Deputy Secretary Md. The notification signed by Mahbub Alam states that the mayors of the following municipalities in Bangladesh are hereby removed from their respective positions in application of section 32 (a) of the Local Government (Municipalities) Ordinance 2024: Local Government Division Municipal-1 Branch of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives The notification issued from further stated that this order issued in public interest will be effective immediately.

Out of 12 municipalities in Bogra, mayors of seven municipalities were supported by BNP.

Rezaul Karim Badsha, Mayor of Bogra Municipality, said, I am informed about the removal. It is applicable to all municipalities across the country.
