Request not to report on the propaganda of other country's media

The report published in the Indian media 'The Week' titled 'The army chief was angered by the young army officers in the meeting that day' is purposeful and misleading. In this situation, ISPR has requested not to create confusion in the public mind by reporting the news based on the false propaganda published in any foreign media. At the same time it is specifically requested not to help spread unintended rumours.

The request was made in a circular sent by the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday (August 20) evening.

According to ISPR, on August 19, a report was published in various media titled 'The army chief was angry with the young army officers in the meeting that day'. The news published in that report is based only on a report published in the Indian newspaper 'The Week', which is purposeful and misleading.

It is advisable to contact ISPR for accurate presentation of any information related to internal affairs of the Army.

In the notification, the ISPR also said that the meeting was actually a regular internal meeting of the Bangladesh Army. Which was held in a very cordial and constructive atmosphere and ended well. An attempt has been made to tarnish the glorious image of the Bangladesh Army to the people by spreading such news about the patriotic and professional army.

Bangladesh Army always expects responsible and objective reporting from the media. Every member of the Army performs his duties with strict loyalty and loyalty to the chain of command. The reflection of which they have constantly proved and are doing.

The ISPR also mentioned that the Bangladesh Army hopes to reflect the statements of all concerned parties in order to disseminate objective news in the media in the future.

The notification further states that a special request is being made not to create confusion in the public mind and not to help in the spread of unintended rumours, by reporting news only on the basis of misinformation spread in the press of a foreign country. The Directorate of Inter-Army Public Relations also said that the Bangladesh Army is determined to provide all-out cooperation to the media in the matter of objective and constructive news dissemination.
