Resignation of coordinator and co-coordinators of Pabiprobi

Six coordinators and 19 co-coordinators of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PABIPROBI) have resigned from anti-discrimination student movement.

Mirazul Islam, one of the coordinators of Pabiprobi anti-discrimination student movement, made this announcement in front of the general students at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall on Monday (19 August). Other coordinators and co-coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement also confirmed this.

Mirazul Islam said that for the past few days, ordinary students have been raising various complaints about Pabiprobi coordinators through social media. As a coordinator we have not accepted any facilities from anyone till now. However, since the general students are raising questions about us, we no longer want to be coordinators in the university. From now on, there will be no coordinator in Pabiprabi, all are ordinary students. Normal students will take care of themselves in the university.

Meanwhile, the students said that many of the coordinators in the university are trying to get a different benefit from their identity as coordinators. Coordinators are not listening to ordinary students. That is why they have demanded the resignation of the coordinators.

It is to be noted that after the resignation of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, conflict started between the students over the formation of the Pabna district committee of the anti-discrimination student movement. Co-ordinating students of Pabna Science and Technology University and Government Edward College were divided into two groups. Meanwhile, another group of students tried to come to the leadership of the committee. Recently, a press conference was called at Pabna Press Club regarding the formation of the committee, but due to conflict, the press conference and the formation of the committee collapsed.
