A spelling mistake has been found in the 'Road Guidelines' of the Roads and Public Paths (SOAZ) Department. There was a discussion when the picture of Bholevara guidelines went viral on social media.
At one end of the bamboo bridge for crossing over the main canal of the Ganga-Kapotaksh irrigation project of Rajagali in Mirpur municipality of Kushtia, a broken guide is visible. The guidelines read, 'Prohibition of vehicular traffic on bamboo shore bridges; For example the Executive Engineer, Roads Department, Kushtia.'
According to the relevant sources, the Road and Public Ways (SOAZ) Department is working on the construction of a new bridge adjacent to the Eagle Chattar of Mirpur Municipality in Kushtia at a cost of about 18 crore rupees after demolishing the old bridge. So Sawaz built a narrow bamboo bridge for pedestrians.
When an attempt was made to contact Muhammad Manjurul Karim, Executive Engineer of Roads and Public Paths (Soaz) Department, Kushtia, he did not answer the phone.
