A 25-member full committee of the Rail and Road Reporters Forum (RRF), an organization of journalists working in the road and railway beat, has been formed. Habibullah Mizan of Bangladesh Post and Nishat Bijay of BanglaNews24.com have been nominated as the president of this two-year committee.
The committee was formed on Saturday (April 20) at the organization's temporary office at Segunbagicha in the capital.
Nizamul Haque Bipul (Dhaka Prakash) as senior vice-president, Rajan Bhattacharya (Kalbela) as vice-president, Sougat Bose as joint general secretary (Ajaker Patrika), Ekhlas Haque as organizing secretary (Dainik Inkilab), Sanmun Ahmed as treasurer of the new committee. (Country Transformation), Hasan Mehedi as Office Editor (Dhaka Times), Nazmul Hossain as Publicity Editor (Manbzamin), Rajneen Farzana as Women Editor (Sara Bangla), Zubair Ahmed as Training and Workshop Editor (Bangla Tribune), Mostafizur Rahman as Publication Editor. (Daily News), Jayant Kumar Saha (Daily Khabar Kagaz) as cultural editor, Nahid Sabbir (Jagonews) as sports editor and Abhijit Roy (Barta24) as information-technology editor have been nominated.
The nominees for the post of executive members are—Ashish Kumar Dey (Reader's Voice), Jahangir Alam (UNB), Shahjahan Swapan (FNS), Abu Zakir (Daily Messenger), SK Reza Parvez (RisingBD), Kazi Mubarak Hossain (bdnews24.com), Akhtaruzzaman (Bangladesh Daily), Jannatul Ferdous Linda (GTV) and SM Russel Ahmed (Dainik Panwari Sangbad).
