Mumbai Indians played their first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) today. They bowled brilliantly against Gujarat Titans. In that, Sai Sudarshan's batting lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and Gujarat made a capital of 168 runs. Mumbai need 169 runs to win.
Captain Shubman Gill and another opener Wriddhiman Saha did not make a bad start for Gujarat in the match. When Wriddhi got out after scoring 19 runs off 15 balls, Sai Sudarshan came in. He and Shubman added 33 runs together.
After this, Shubman got out by scoring 1 run and this pair broke. Then Sudarshan continued to fight alone. He survived almost to the end. He got out for 45 runs. After that no one else from Gujarat could stand.
In the end, Rahul Tewatia gave the team fighting capital by scoring 22 runs in 15 balls. And Mumbai gets fairly good capital from that.
Gerald Coetzee took two wickets for Mumbai. He gave 27 runs in four overs. Piyush Chawla took 1 wicket with 31 runs in three overs.
