'Same Confession of Accused to Indian Intelligence'

Dhaka Metropolitan Intelligence Police (DB) chief Haroon Or Rashid said that the accused involved in the murder of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anna have given the same confession to Indian intelligence.

He gave this information to reporters on Thursday (May 23) night after a meeting with a group of four members of the country's Intelligence Bureau from India.

Haroon Or Rashid said, Indian police is trying to recover the body of Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Anwarul Azim Anar. Indian officials told DB that they will be able to rescue them very soon.

He said, the team of Indian police who came to DB, they spoke to the accused arrested by us. The same information that the accused gave to our DB, they also admitted to the Indian Police.

DMP DB Pradhan also said that the Indian police has arrested an accused named Siam. The Indian police is trying to find where MP's body was dumped through him. Hope to get it soon.

Incidentally, on May 12, MP Azim went to India from Kaliganj in Jhenaidah to Darshanar Gede in Chuadanga for treatment. There, he went to the house of a friend named Gopal Biswas, a gold merchant, in Mandalpara Lane of Barahnagar police station in West Bengal. Then on May 13, he was killed and the body was dismembered, said DB.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday (May 22) night, the sources of the Dhaka Metropolitan Intelligence Police said that the main planner of the murder of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency MP Anwarul Azim Anna was his childhood friend and business partner Aktaruzzaman Shaheen! Another friend and extremist leader Aman Ullah Aman was given the responsibility of planning and executing this murder. Shaheen came to Bangladesh after drawing the final tableau of the murder sitting in Kolkata. Later six people along with Aman killed MP Azim first by pressing him with a pillow. Later they cut the body into pieces and put it in a trolley bag and dumped it at an unknown place. Wari Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police has uncovered the mystery of this murder. This information was obtained by talking to the investigators.

According to sources, three people, including the leader of the extremist group East Bengal Communist Party, Aman, who directly participated in the murder, have been arrested. MP Anwarul Azim Anna's daughter Doreen has filed a case at the capital's Sherebangla Nagar police station as the plaintiff. At the same time, preparations are underway to file a separate case in Kolkata. Kolkata police arrested the driver of a private car carrying the body parts.
