Sargis called for a protest rally

Anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Sarjis Alam has called for a protest rally to protest the bloody attack on some Ansar members supported by the fascists, to prosecute all including the conspirator former DG, and to rid the administration of fascism.

He announced the rally in a post on his Facebook ID on Monday (August 26) afternoon.

Sarjis Alam said in a Facebook post that this rally will be held in front of Dhaka University Raju Sculpture at 6 pm today.

It should be noted that on Sunday, around 10,000 Ansar members surrounded the secretariat and held seven advisers of the interim government and other senior officials of the secretariat hostage to demand the nationalization of their jobs. Ansar and VDP director general Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud came to the secretariat in the afternoon to calm the agitated Ansar members. After that Ansar DG and advisors held a meeting with the protesting Ansar representatives.

At the end of the meeting, the Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) said that the demands have been accepted. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. Ansar DG and representatives of the protesting Ansar were present at this time. But still the agitated Ansar members surrounded the secretariat without leaving the secretariat area.

Around 9 pm, a clash broke out in front of the Secretariat between general Ansar and anti-discrimination student movement. Several students were injured.
