Sarjis Alam, one of the coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement, has given a new message about false cases, extortion, harassment, torture and stopping toll collection on various bridges.
He gave this message in a post on social media Facebook on Wednesday (August 28) afternoon.
Sarzis said, 'What has the Awami League fascist government done in the past 16 years? Abused power. As many political parties as there were, gave them false cases, harassed, extorted, excluded the area. Because we never support this, even after 16 years, the Awami League has fallen through the mass uprising of the students. Awami League has left the country. But if another party or other party's leaders do the same thing today, what lessons did they learn from Awami League?'
“Remember one thing, we don't want to change the oppressor, we want to change the system of this torture,” said Sarzis, the coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement. Our message is clear. There are many burning examples before your eyes. Learn from there. Otherwise the people will throw you in the dungeon. We should not see anyone going through the cycle of false cases, innocent people being tortured or displaced.'
Stating that a new cycle of extortion has developed in the country, Sarjis Alam said, 'We are hearing that a new cycle of extortion is developing in different parts of the country. We want to make it clear that we, the anti-discrimination student movement, are against such abuse of power from our place. If people stand against it once, your existence will be in crisis. So think about people's demand and demand of time. We do not support it.' Sarjis also urged the interim government to take strict action against such crimes.
Speaking to the students on various bridges, Sarzis highlighted the position of the anti-discrimination student movement. He said, 'We have received information that the system of tolling has been stopped at 15 bridges across the country, talking about the students. A clear message from us. It is part of the revenue of the state. No one should do this anywhere in the country by talking about students or anti-discrimination student movement. Even if a relief truck goes anywhere under the banner of anti-discrimination student movement, that truck will also pay toll.
Sargis Alam also said, 'Because if we want to stabilize the state, then the economic situation must be stabilized. Toll must be paid at every bridge. We never support abuse of power.'
