Monday is the 29th of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, if the moon of the month of Shawwal is seen in the sky on this day, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Saudi on Tuesday (09 April). But if the moon is not sighted on Monday then the month of Ramadan will be 30 days and Eid will be celebrated in the country on Wednesday.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Arabic calendar. Arabic months are 29 and 30 days long. And the months are determined based on the sighting of the moon. On March 11, 1445 Hijri, the moon of the month of Ramadan was sighted in Saudi Arabia. Next Monday, April 8, the 29th day of Ramadan will fall in the country.
Last year, the month of Ramadan was 29 days in Saudi Arabia. However, the month was 30 days in other countries of the world. Being the cradle of Islam, the sighting of the moon in Saudi Arabia creates an interest among Muslims all over the world.
Especially from that day, a joy started among the common people of South Asian countries. Because if the moon rises in Saudi, then they are pretty sure that the next day will be Eid in their country.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the month of Ramadan may be 30 days in Bangladesh this year. However, Pakistan Meteorological Office, another country in South Asia, said that there may be 29 days of fasting in Pakistan this time. Because on the night of April 9, the Eid moon will be seen in the sky of the country.
