School student murder case in Feni: Accused former 3 MP

Another case has been registered in the case of indiscriminate firing in the anti-discrimination student movement program in Mohipal, Feni. On Tuesday (August 20), the mother of slain schoolboy Wakil Ahmad Saqib (17) Mahfuza Akhter filed the case at Feni Model Police Station naming 151 people and accusing 150 unknown people as the plaintiff.

The deceased Wakil Ahmad Sakib is the son of Sirajul Islam of Dakshin Kashimpur area of ​​Panchgachia Union of Sadar Upazila. Feni Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Ruhul Amin confirmed the matter.

The notable defendants in the case are- former Member of Parliament of Feni-3 Constituency Lieutenant General Masud Uddin Chowdhury, former Member of Parliament of Feni-1 Constituency Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim and former Member of Parliament of Feni-2 Constituency Nizam Uddin Hazari. They have been accused of planning and directing the shooting of the student movement.

In this regard, 1 thousand 924 people including leaders and activists of Awami League and allied organizations have been accused in six separate murder cases filed at Feni Model Police Station.

On August 4, in support of the non-cooperation movement, the agitators were protesting at Mohipal area of ​​Fenir on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. At the same time, the leaders and activists of Awami League and allied organizations took a position on the trunk road of the city. Around 2 pm, when the leaders and activists of Awami League and allied organizations moved towards Mohipal flyover with a procession, a clash broke out between the two sides. At this time, shots, cocktail explosions shook the surroundings. Clashes were heard intermittently till 5 pm. At one stage of the clash, the police box of Mohipal was set on fire. Apart from being shot, more than 150 people, including protesting students, pedestrians and journalists, were injured by brickbats. 9 people have been killed in this incident so far in Feni.
