A youth named Sakin Ram (26) committed suicide in Ranishankoil of Thakurgaon. The incident took place in a mango orchard behind Mirdangi High School in Nanduar Union of the upazila on Friday (May 10) afternoon.
Sakin Ram is the son of Monglu Ram of Raghabpur area of Rator Union of Upazila.
Manglu Ram, father of the deceased, said that he was picking pepper in his land this morning. After picking the pepper, he leaves the house saying that he will come to Nekmard in the neighboring market. We cannot say anything about why he committed suicide.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ranishankoil Police Station Sohel Rana said that the body of a young man was recovered in the morning on Friday afternoon. The body will be sent to Thakurgaon Hospital morgue for post-mortem on Saturday morning to find out the exact cause of death. The exact cause of death can be said after the post-mortem report. A wrongful death case has been filed in this matter.
