Suri Cruise Twins With Mom Katie Holmes After Changing Name in School Play

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise demonstrated their impeccable street style during a casual stroll around New York City on Wednesday, May 15. The mother-daughter duo matched in stylish baggy denim jeans on their outing.

In the photos obtained by W Magazine, Holmes embraced the overcast weather with a roomy trench coat and oversized denim flare jeans. She complimented her look with a knit turtleneck, a cream-colored bag, and wore her hair down. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Suri matched her mother’s vibe with an oversized jean jacket, a cropped white t-shirt, and suede Birkenstock mules, with her hair casually styled in a messy bun.

This outing comes after a report from Hello Magazine, which said the Playbill of the play Suri recently acted in listed her not as Suri Cruise, but as Suri Noelle, adopting her mother’s middle name. The teen was supported at the play by her mom and her grandparents, Martin and Kathleen. It is unclear whether her father, Tom Cruise, made an appearance.

Primarily raised by her mother in New York, Suri has largely been estranged from her father, Tom, since childhood. Her birth in 2006 captured the public’s curiosity, even landing her on the cover of Vanity Fair in October of that year. However, the couple’s split in 2011 reportedly strained the relationship between Tom and his daughter.

Transcripts from a 2012 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media revealed that the Top Gun actor had not seen Suri for three months following his separation from Holmes. “Listen, when there is a divorce … things change,” he told lawyers at the time. “It’s not an ideal scene. It’s not an ideal situation.”

Meanwhile, Tom’s other two children with actress Nicole Kidman were photographed together for the first time in over 15 years back in December 2023.
