Tarek, the 'boy of the house' in Bogra, 'today I have nothing to give, only to ask'

A 'public wave' was created in the presence of BNP Chairman Tariq Rahman at midnight in the ancestral district of Bogra. Even though it was an election rally, he got emotional while standing in front of the people of his district and said, “There is nothing to say to the people of the house.” However, he urged the people of Bogra to win the grain of rice as this year's election is particularly important.

It was midnight when Tariq Rahman reached the historic Altafunnesa playground in Bogra town on Thursday from the public meeting in Naogaon. Millions of people greeted him. The public meeting ground and the surrounding area vibrated with slogans.

Assuring the fulfillment of the demands of the people of Bogra, he said, “But we must be careful, so that while getting the right of Bogra, we do not take away the right of others.”

Describing the situation as different from the way the people of Bogra received him in 2001 to 2006, Tarek Rahman said that this time the people of Bogra should lead the country. Don't just think about yourself.

Tariq Rahman became emotional while giving a speech. He said, “I don't have anything to give you at this moment, today I only have to ask you. People of the house, this is why I am meeting so many nights, this is that I am doing politics; if my wife did not cooperate, I would not have been able to. I could have done it because she (Zubaida Rahman) is there.”

Tariq Rahman's wife Zubaida Rahman is with him during his visit to North Bengal. From the campaign car to the rally stage – the two have always been seen as close.

Honoring his wife's support, Tariq Rahman said, “In the same way, if you, the people of Bogra, stay by my side, if you give me mental strength and support, then, God willing, we will be able to take Bangladesh to a better and stronger position in the future,” he said.
