That is why Tariq Rahman wants bicameral parliament

Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman wants to attach the bicameral parliament system to the constitution after coming to power.

He expressed this desire in an exchange meeting with Trinamool leaders and activists of the party in Dhaka division on Wednesday as part of the series of programs. BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan and Babu Gayeshwar Chandra Roy.

He said that the opportunity that was missed that day without using the power of national unity after independence, we do not want to repeat it in the future. With the support of the people, BNP wants to see the country run through the national government in the future. Those who fought for the restoration of democracy and voting rights will participate in the governance of the country in the future, so that the country is not deprived of the benefits of their contribution.

Acting Chairman of BNP said, I feel it necessary to inform the countrymen about an important reform. There are numerous knowledgeable teachers, artists-writers, journalists, researchers, doctors, technical experts, human rights workers who are not involved with traditional politics in the country but want to participate in the formation, development and management of the country. But in the current constitutional framework, there is no opportunity for them to contribute as members of Parliament. To utilize their services and contribution to the work of the country, BNP wants to see bicameral parliament system with upper house attached to the constitution in our country like many other countries in the world.

He said, I can only humbly inform about our future plans and goodwill. The support of the people of the country can only help us to implement our plans.
