The chairman of City Bank was acquitted from his ex-wife's case

Private City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Qaiser was acquitted of three cases of breach of trust, fraud and forgery filed by his ex-wife.

The court recently dismissed three cases filed by his ex-wife Tabassum Kaiser in December 2022.

It is learned that after the cases were filed, the court ordered DB to investigate considering the seriousness of the allegations. At the end of the investigation, the DB submitted the final report, exonerating the defendant Aziz Al Qaiser from the allegations. But when the plaintiff Tabassum Kaiser filed a petition in the court against this decision, the court assigned the responsibility of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PIB) to conduct a re-investigation.

The PIB re-investigated the accused and filed a final report in the court on April 17, acquitting him of the allegations. When the plaintiff Tabassum Qaiser filed a complaint again, recently the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka rejected it and accepted the final report and acquitted Aziz Al Qaiser from all the charges brought in the case.

In this regard, the City Bank Chairman told the reporters, 'There was an attempt to grab hundreds of crores of rupees by filing a false case against me. Divorce may happen. There is Islamic Shariah to solve it, there are family tutors. But sadly, the elder brother on my ex-wife's side who was responsible for being the guardian, or the elder sister who had the same responsibility in that family, did not do their job, so everything went to such an awkward level.'

He claimed that there is an ulterior motive behind repeatedly submitting his ex-wife's protest petition to the court despite the fact that no crime has been proven in multiple investigations.
