Young people took to the streets during the revolution to fulfill their dreams. Now it's time to go back to their studies, said the chief adviser. Muhammad Yunus.
He said that schools, colleges and universities have been opened. I urge everyone to return to class.
In a message to the nation on the occasion of the one-month anniversary of the student uprising on Thursday (September 5), Dr. Muhammad Yunus. This information was informed in a press release sent from the Office of the Chief Adviser.
Dr. Yunus said, the first month of Bangladesh's second independence is being celebrated. The revolution ended the 15-year dictatorship of the fascist Sheikh Hasina. His rule created corruption and a fragile economy in the country. Sheikh Hasina has fled the country. Now our responsibility is to bring back the glory of Bangladesh.
He remembered the youth, workers and day laborers who gave their lives fighting against the fascist forces. We deeply respect them. He also expressed his gratitude to the injured and blind.
The chief adviser said, I was given the responsibility of leading the interim government last month. I have taken this responsibility motivated by selfless sacrifice of martyrs. I am committed to fulfill the dream of new Bangladesh that the young revolutionaries have shown.

Important renovation work has started within a month. Our first task is to ensure justice and accountability for the killings of July and August. Meanwhile, the United Nations Human Rights Office has started an investigation.
Initiatives have been taken to establish an international tribunal for crimes against humanity committed in July and August. Besides, discussions are going on with expert institutions to bring back the money embezzled by corrupt individuals and bureaucrats during the dictatorship.
During the revolution, Dr. promised to give free treatment to the seriously injured. Yunus said many students have been deprived of their eyesight. Efforts are underway to bring back the light of their eyes.
Besides, the work of preparing a complete list of martyrs and injured is continuing. The work of setting up a foundation for long-term treatment of the injured and support to the families of the martyrs is in the final stage. I will never forget those for whose sacrifice I got new Bangladesh.
He said the government has signed the International Convention against Enforced Disappearance and is committed to stop the culture of disappearance in the country. A commission is in the works to investigate all the disappearances during the 15 years of fascist rule.
Expressing deep gratitude to the families of the martyrs. Yunus said that he will meet the family members of the martyrs soon. Our biggest challenge is to repair the damage caused by misrule and dictatorship. This requires unity and coordination. I will not let the blood of the martyrs go in vain. We will build the new Bangladesh of their dreams. May Allah help us.
