The death of agricultural laborers

An agricultural laborer named Sujan Ahmed alias Rahimullah, 25, was killed in a sudden thunderstorm at Srivardi in Sherpur.

The incident took place on Friday (May 7th) at noon in Lakhidangri village of Velua union of the upazila. The deceased was identified as Sujan Ahmed, son of Akhter Ali of the house of the same village.

According to family and locals, Sujan Ahmed worked as an agricultural laborer. On Friday morning, Sujan went to paddy to cut paddy on another's land. Sudden thunderstorms began to occur when it started raining at noon. At one point, Sujan was seriously injured in the thunderstorm when he left for the house to return home. He later died on the spot.

Velua Union Chairman Abdur Karim said a man named Sujan died in lightning. He was an agricultural laborer. He died of thunderstorms on his way home when sudden rain and thunderstorms began.
