The government is forming a foundation with the help of the families of the victims of the movement

The government has decided to set up a foundation to look after the family members of the injured and killed who participated in the student-led anti-dictatorship revolution in July and August.

Chief advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will head the foundation. The foundation will include some advisers to the interim government, student representatives and family members of the dead and injured.

This information was informed in a circular signed by the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam on Tuesday (August 20).

Interim government chief advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, 'We will never forget the contribution of students and people. Those who sacrificed their lives in the movement against tyranny and those who were seriously injured. It is my duty and our national duty to stand by them. We will do whatever is necessary for the families of the injured and those killed as soon as possible.'

The Chief Minister also said, 'Arrangements have been made for their medical and family needs. Dedicated government departments and officers will be appointed in this regard.'

Dr. Yunus called upon all citizens including expatriates to cooperate in the management of the foundation by mentioning that the working procedure of the foundation will be announced very soon.
