State Minister for Finance and Awami League Secretary for Finance and Planning Wasika Ayesha Khan MP said that the government is working tirelessly to create a smart Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has moved Anwara Upazila closer to Chittagong City by constructing the Bangabandhu Tunnel. It is playing a role in improving the fate of the people of South Chittagong.
On Saturday (March 23) in Chittagong's Anwara Upazila, Barshat Union Awami League visited Parky Beach, exchanged views with leaders of local Awami League, organs and affiliated organizations and delivered Iftar at the chief guest's address. Abul Kalam Chowdhury, vice-president of Chittagong South District Awami League, member Dr. Nashir Uddin Mahmud, former General Secretary of Anwara Upazila Awami League Kazi Mozammel, Abul Mansoor Chowdhury, Haji Nurul Haque, Mohammad Ali, Nazim Uddin and local Awami League leaders spoke.
The Minister of State for Finance said, Bangabandhu has taught us how to reach the public through development. Sheikh Hasina is relentlessly moving the country from dark Bangladesh to prosperous Bangladesh, from prosperous Bangladesh to smart Bangladesh.
He said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not practice the politics of revenge, she is working for the welfare of the country and the decade through the politics of development. Under his groundbreaking and visionary leadership, Bangladesh today is a development wonder on the face of the earth. Anwar is rich in natural resources. The touch of development will also extend to Anwara. Supervision of all ongoing development projects is the responsibility of public representatives as well as the people. Proper implementation of development projects is possible with the combined and united efforts of all.
Earlier, State Finance Minister Vir Muktijoddha Idris and Veer Muktijoddha Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury visited the graves of Babu, distributed cash to fire victims in Gujra Nathpara area of Haildhar Union of Anwara Upazila and inspected the progress of Raipur Embankment construction project and introduction of tourism facilities in the park. Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Abul Bashar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman, officials related to the project and leaders and activists of Awami League, organs and allied organizations were present during the visit.
