The water of the Padma River is increasing, which may be cautioned by 9am on Sunday. As a result, the lower regions of eight districts may be flooded.

The flood forecast and warning center said the information on Saturday (August 8) at 9am.

It is said that the water of the Atrai river is currently flowing at the Atrai Railway Bridge Point (Naogaon) at 5 cm above the danger zone. In the last 24 hours, heavy rainfall has been observed in Chittagong Division and Tripura province of India in Ujjan. In this situation, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in Sylhet and Rangpur divisions in the next 12 hours.

In addition, the water flat of the Atrai and the small Jamuna rivers of Rajshahi Division has increased in the last 24 hours. The water of these rivers may be flat for the next 24 hours. At this time, the water of the Atrai river adjacent to Naogaon district can be located above the danger line and the river-adjacent lowlands can be flooded. However, the water plane may decrease in the rivers for the next two days.

The forecast also said that the water of the Ganges river has dropped in the last 24 hours, but the Padma river water has increased. The Padma River water may increase further in the next 24 hours, ie Sunday morning, and flows to alert. As a result, these rivers adjacent to Rajbari, Faridpur, Pabna, Manikganj, Shariatpur, Madaripur, Munshiganj and Dhaka districts may be temporarily flooded. The next 5 days the water can remain flat.

The water plane of the Brahmaputra river was stable in the last 24 hours and the Jamuna river water has increased. In the next 7 days, the water of the Brahmaputra river may be flat and the next 2 days may decrease. The water plane of the Jamuna River may increase in the next 24 hours and can flow in alert. However, the next 5 days the water can remain flat.

In addition, the Kushiyara river plane of Sylhet Division has increased in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the water level of the Surma river has decreased. In the next 5 days, the water of these rivers may increase flat. Manu, Dhalai, Khoi rivers have risen flat, which may continue for the next 24 hours and may remain stable for the next 2 days.

Rangpur Division Teesta, Dharla and Dudhkumar rivers have decreased water flat. In the next two days, the Teesta river water may be flat and the water of the Dudhkumar river may decrease. However, on the third day, the water of these rivers may increase flat.
