Dr. Yunus said the student-led revolution gave the interim government an opportunity to rebuild the country, which had never been done before. It's a big job. But we see it as a big opportunity. If we don't seize the opportunity, it will be a big failure.

Urging people to see the country as part of a 'big family', he said, “Sometimes we disagree too strongly.” But that doesn't mean we are enemies. The government is committed to protecting the rights of every citizen. Let's establish human rights. Our job is to implement the constitution.

At that time, the French ambassador said that French President Emmanuel Macron invited him (Dr. Yunus) to visit France at a convenient time. He also mourned the deaths of students and people killed in the July-August Revolution.

Apart from this, the French Ambassador to Bangladesh, Marie Masdupui, said that they are ready to support the interim government of Bangladesh in the reconstruction of the country.

He said France is already working with Bangladesh's civil defense forces and is keen to improve its skills in the fight against corruption, human trafficking, forensic cybercrime, port and airport security and financial crime.

The French ambassador said Alliance Française Dhaka will celebrate its 65th anniversary next October and he invited Professor Yunus to the event.

He said that France is also preparing for a two-week long Bangladesh cultural season in Paris in April 2025. He commented that the anti-corruption activities of the interim government will play a special role in the expansion of investment and trade in Bangladesh.

The French ambassador said that French companies are interested in setting up three solar parks in Bangladesh and installing 'lightning arresters' in 15 lightning-prone districts in the country.
