The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the police stations to receive complaints quickly without disapproval or delay.

Such instructions have been issued based on complaints and media reports that some police stations are reluctant or delaying in accepting general diaries, FIRs or cases.

In a circular signed by Faisal Hasan, Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday (August 23), it has been said that the Police-3 branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry has issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday.

According to the circular signed by Mohammad Abdul Momen, various complaints received and news published in the media have informed the public security department that in some cases, the GD, FIR and cases are being refused or delayed in some police stations. In this case, necessary legal measures should be taken quickly; Examination and investigation proceedings cannot be prolonged.

The circular also said that Bangladesh Police is an important institution in ensuring public safety. This institution will promptly investigate various public complaints and take necessary legal action to restore its dignity.
